What a great find! A well stocked bar & a great menu. Food was delicious!
I didn't even know this place existed until our son told us. We popped in last night for a game of pool and ended up staying for music bingo. Absolutely brilliant. Great atmosphere, the most friendly, chatty team of staff. We only ordered some chips with our drinks but they were delicious.
We are a large family and we were made to feel so welcome. Our young son Eddie especially loved it.
Brilliant night and we will 100% be back. Thank you all so much.

Our first visit and won't be out last! My son and I came for the music bingo but had food too. Really lovely meal, very fresh and tasty, lovely service and great fun at the bingo! All staff we encountered were great, from Jess serving, the DJ doing the bingo and the chefs did a great job on the food, thank you very much!
Went for lunch today at the shaft Inn for the new menu launch. Had the blt was amazing. Service was quick I got welcomed by Chris and served by quaid both amazing staff 🙌
First time Sunday not very good food other food is good during the week
My wife asked to be taken out for her birthday tea, so the Shaft Inn was top of the list. It was as fantastic as always. The staff were friendly and attentive with superb service. The food was top notch, and the chips were especially tasty. The tables were well dressed, and I really liked the new addition of the little table lamp.
This place always a favourite of ours, and will take a lot to beat!

We visited tonight for my birthday, a quiet meal out. I had heard good things about this place but had yet to try it for myself.
Oh my goodness, it did not disappoint! Super welcoming staff. Our waitress was lovely. We had happened to book on steak night, and both had Sirloin steak with garlic butter sauce.
Hands down the best steak I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. Came out within 20 minutes of ordering.
Super impressed, and the price for us both was very reasonable. Very quiet and a choice of areas to sit. We will absolutely be back seeing as it's only 10 minutes from where we live.

First time visiting here and very happy we did, children's food good quality and main menu great too, people lovely and spoke to the owner which was also nice. A real effort being made. We really enjoyed our time and will come back soon.
Celebrated our Grandaughters 7th birthday here. Food was excellent, great service and the staff were amazing. They took the time to make sure everything was just right for the occasion. Thankyou 😊
The staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming, both front of house and the kitchen team. We were made to feel very welcome and the kitchen went out of their way making substitutions for my sons order. Food was lovely on both visits and service was quick. Just what you want after a day on the beach.

The food and drinks are excellent and the team are fantastic. The three front of house managers are very friendly and professional, nothing is ever too much trouble. The facilities are immaculately clean and offer something for all requirements.

After waiting 30 minutes for our plates to be cleared, we paid at the bar and left without ordering more drinks and desserts.
Then, to my annoyance on the drive home to see, I'd been charged for 2 pizzas when, in fact, it was buy one get one free. We ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas, with one without the chilli peppers. We were told it was the same pizzas that qualified for this deal. We did this, and if we had known asking for the same pizza but the chilli peppers not put one one would not qualify, we would have picked them off ourselves. We were told this was the same pizza when ordering for the deal.

we were served by a lovely friendly young woman, whose name I didn’t catch but I hope this can be passed onto her. we visited 9th July around 6/7pm. she was welcoming as soon as we walked through the door and was incredibly attentive and bubbly
Really wonderful food, great beer and the staff were lovely. I would recommend this place to all local people and tourists as it was a great meal and we both loved it.
Really helpful staff, the roast was good but not worth the price. Not much atmosphere and I would never book the conservatory again, rammed in like sardines, no privacy at all. On payment (I should have put my glasses on!) it was not clear how to just pay for the meal without service charge so ended up paying £58 for 2 roasts, a side of cauliflower cheese a drought beer and a lime and soda instead of £48 for the food. Personally I won't be returning but I see many people love it so maybe just a bad day. I had made a reservation but not sure I needed to ask many tables empty.
